Page 1 of 2 Bioware brings you another close look into the creation of Star Wars: The Old Republic. This developer blog focuses on a recent update: TheTrooperClass. Watch this video to take the sneak peak into the creation of the Trooper class! The Developers haven’t made this class your Joe Shmoe Trooper. You’re an elite fighter with a huge array of firepower. You’re trained to be tough, aggressive, and to defend the Republic through any means necessary. The trooper displays aggressive animations, from your explosive frags, to meleeing your opponent with the butt end of your blaster rifle. You are not to be underestimated. The design of the Trooper in the Old Republic is a hybrid of your Clone Trooper/Stormtrooper outfit with a Rebel fighter. You’re armored and mobile, and you’re not afraid to show it. Even the weapons have paid homage to previous weapon designs from World War II, made to look a little more sci-fi.
