The title says it all, Bioware has unleashed the official BETA testing for the Star Wars The Old Republic game which had been made available last mid July 2010.

Star Wars the Old Republic

So far it has gone off with a mixed success as BETA testers across the world are working around the clock towards resolving a complex game that Bioware has spent countless resources into reviving the Knights of the Old Republic franchise. The interface itself is similar to any standard MMO game that you have played.

As the game looks like Guild Wars, World of Warcraft and Dragon Age. The feel of the game itself is described as "an exilerating action packed with Star Wars relived all over again..." It has been over 6 years now since the release of the Knights of the Old Republic game and to see the storyline of Revan told in a way that none have a clear answer to his own fate has left people still wondering till this day. However, the Old Republic is not focused about Revan... at least in this author's opinion "...at least not solidly focused on him."

The Old Republic game is focused more about the Jedi and its allies VS the Sith Empire, however the interaction of the characters is still familiar like what you have done with any RPG or MMO games. Although some game testers have noticed that the game itself can be quite tricky to get used to how the player interacts with the other characters, also how the gameplay is involved with other players might another thing. There is one thing I would like to make a note to all the BETA testers out there, just remember that your voice will be heard and the game developers will need both the negative and positive feedback to improve the game before the official release.

For those who were heavily involved for Starcraft II Wings of Liberty with Blizzard Entertainment and had given them a lot of feedback thus making the game look interesting to play with. Therefore, in this reviewer's opinion, we should expect a great volume of feedback towards The Old Republic's development phase.

If you have not yet joined the BETA testing as of yet, don't worry, you can register here http://www.swtor.com/tester feel free to discuss your own review onto our forums here as well.
